A highly unqiue and bespoke portfolio & commerce site for the prolific luthier, Richard Legg.
The site features fading text sections that draw your eye to the content as you scroll and a full screen gallery under the content that changes depending on the section you’re reading. If the user decides they want to view photos, they just have to switch the site into gallery mode using the the toggle switch!
We implemented a hybrid SEO system for the site, hijacking the main menu created by Drupal to deliver dynamic webapp content using Angular.js. When robots search the site, the original menu links still work and return a regular Drupal page with the same information, optimised for site crawlers.
Each portfolio item opens up in its own full screen modal with information and a dedicated gallery about his builds.
In addition, Richard wanted a simplified no fuss webshop to sell his “bread & butter” output such as pickguards and t-shirts. We used snipcart for this purpose which keeps things really straight forward and a significantly lower cost than building a full commerce solution using Magento or Woo Commerce.
